Friday,
December 20th, San Francisco California:
This was it, I waited outside the Bill Graham Civic
all day in the rain, and I finally got to the front of the meet and
greet where I was able to get my pic with Tori, and give her a hand-made
bracelet with appropriate pewter charms.
This venue sucks even more than the Universal Ampitheatre! I swear,
unless you are sitting in the frontal middle two sections or the first
row of the middle of the balcony, you can't see crap to save your life.
Most of the audience is treated to having a black curtain in their faces
unless they wish to contort themeslves to a full ninety degree angle
so they are at least facing the stage. Tori was again on the ball tonight.
While sitting on my coat to see, Tori played:
Wampum Prayer
a sorta
fairytale
Caught A Lite Sneeze
Sweet Sangria
Tear In Your Hand -- new song, beautiful as the album version
Concertina -- good to hear again, loved it live the first time
Precious Things
Pandora's Aquarium
Wednesday
Winter -- I couldn't help crying during this song. Very rarely do sensory experiences
like these bring me to tears, but I have been in a bad place these past
weeks with my mom in the hospital, and it kinda caught me off guard...
Landslide -- I love playing this live myself
Cooling
Your
Cloud -- I love the lyrics to this song, and this is my favorite Scarlet
song to hear live. She sings the counter melody to the bridge first
before she sings the verse that goes with it, the "Stay right here"
line...
Siren -- Wow! I feel so lucky to have heard this one live. It was funny,
because while I was singing along, I think most people in the audience
didn't even know what song it was.
